Project Overview
The goal of this project is to adapt and reuse the existing "Modulus" app, previously developed for the Modularex project, to streamline shift planning and workforce management. The updated solution integrates scheduling, task assignment, and cost calculation to enhance efficiency in workforce allocation.
Implementation Summary
- Shift Scheduling: Inspired by shift planning concepts from Agendrix, the system will categorize shifts into Day, Afternoon, and Night.
- Task Assignment: Tasks (SKUs) are assigned to teams based on workload distribution.
-
Resource Allocation: Each shift accommodates a variable number of workers:
- Day Shift: 10 workers
- Afternoon Shift: 5 workers
- Night Shift: 4 workers
-
Cost Calculation:
- Cost is calculated by multiplying total hours worked by wage rate.
- Cost details will be added next to the "Hours" column.
- Temporary Substitutions: Placeholder spots will be available for resource substitutions.
Key Features
- Efficient workforce planning with automated shift and task allocation.
- Real-time cost tracking for improved budgeting.
- Enhanced flexibility with temporary task substitutions.
This project aims to provide a robust and scalable shift management system by leveraging the proven capabilities of the "Modulus" app, customized for workforce planning.
