Challenges
The client requested an enhancement in the Odoo ERP system to include an additional Product Specification Sheet option in the Print Label section of the product master. This feature allows users to generate a detailed specification sheet containing product-specific information dynamically fetched from various fields within Odoo.
Challenges & Key Considerations
- Dynamic Data Population: All fields except "Packaging & Storage" must be dynamically fetched from the respective fields in the Product Master.
- New Field Additions: Several fields must be introduced under the Inventory Tab and Print Label Level to accommodate missing data.
- Seamless Integration with Print Labels: The specification sheet must be accessible within the Print Label section without disrupting existing functionalities.
- User-Friendly & Automated Workflow: The system should auto-update the date at the time of printing and allow manual input for QA Member Signature.

Product Specification Sheet Integration
A new print option called Product Specification Sheet was added under the Print Label section. This feature enables users to generate a formatted specification sheet containing essential product details. -

3.Packaging & Storage Information
Packaging: Standard text was incorporated to maintain product integrity during shipping and storage.
Storage: Standard storage conditions were included, ensuring compliance with quality standards. -
4.Print Automation & QA Signature
The QA Member Signature field allows manual entry before printing.
The Date Field auto-updates when the sheet is printed.
A disclaimer stating "This document is computer-generated and requires no signature" was included for compliance.
